WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES

Help-Link

HELP-Link is a free workforce program for Montanans covered by Medicaid under the Montana HELP Plan. Created by the HELP Act, HELP-Link connects Medicaid enrollees with high-quality workforce training, employment services, and job openings in local communities.

Employment services offered through HELP-Link and Montana’s Job Services include:

  • Assistance with resumé and cover letters, job applications, and interview skills
  • Resource center for job seekers including the Montana Career Information System (MCIS)
  • Labor market information and skills testing
  • Assistance for veterans of the military and eligible spouses

WIOA

The Montana Department of Labor & Industry can help individuals who may need assistance to obtain/retain employment that allows for self-sufficiency or needs training in order to obtain/retain employment leading to economic self-sufficiency.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides financial assistance and help with career planning, training, and job search to low-income adults and displaced homemakers.

The Dislocated Worker Program provides re-employment and training services to assist dislocated workers' transition from layoff to work.
